Who is driving the Evidence-Informed Policy ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean?
In 2025, Hub LAC launched an initiative to map the individuals, organizations, and networks promoting the generation, communication, and use of evidence in the region. The result is an unprecedented portrait of the EIP ecosystem, which allows you to:
- Identify opportunities for collaboration
- Connect key actors across different countries
- Strengthen the use of evidence in public policy-making
The study was developed with the participation of 123 people, including online survey respondents and in-depth interviewees, and provides a detailed characterization of actors who generate, synthesize, communicate, or use scientific evidence.
More than a one-off diagnosis, this mapping is part of a strategy to build a “living knowledge base,” which will continue to grow and be updated to reflect the evolution of the field in the region.
